Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actor from Sweden. She appeared in several movies, both European and American. Her most well-known role is portraying the character of "La Dolce Vita," which was a comedy-drama movie. It was a critical and commercial success as well being awarded an Oscar in the Cannes Film Festival 1960. Before pursuing her acting career she worked as an international fashion model. Eventually, she won the Miss Sweden Contest. She moved to the US, and began appearing in films playing small role. She played the Venusian Guard in 'Abbott and Costello's Go To Mars. It was her first credit role. Following her appearance in the film 'Blood Alley her film, she took home the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising newcomer.' She appeared in several other films over the course of her career. This includes the American-Italian War Drama 'War and Peace' as well as The Western movie "Valerie" and the British Adventure Crime Film 'The Man Inside and also"The Dam On The Yellow River," the French and Italian thriller The Dam on the Yellow River. Her death occurred in the year 2015 when she was 83.
